What it did teach me was the importance of audience size and what sort of conversion rates I could expect. Although there is a big case to be made about the quality of visitor you attract and the type of marketing you use to promote products, as far as I was concerned it was all about the numbers. If 500 people brought me $50 in sales, then 5,000 people should bring in $500 in sales.

With some types of sales jobs, however, you don’t just earn a single commission when you make a sale – you also receive ongoing residual payments from sales you’ve made in the past. This type of residual income that can last for years after the original purchase.
It takes the “books I’m reading” area you often see in blogs (within Amazon affiliate links) to a whole new level. not only is this great for you, but it’s extremely helpful for your readers who may be looking for additional resources related to your niche. You know who to coordinate with. Other than having the right product and a fully equipped website, you should also take time to study who to tap for your affiliate marketing program. How is a B2B affiliate marketing program different from other offers to make money online? An affiliate, sometimes called a publisher, associate, or partner, is an internet marketer who advertises products and services in exchange for commissions. This is a type of performance marketing where the affiliate generates residual income on a pay per click (PPC), pay per lead (CPL), or pay per sale (CPA) basis. The best affiliate programs offer products and services that are relevant to the website audience. B2B affiliate programs are often some of the top paying as these products and services generally offer the highest commissions as an easy way to make money online.
Ana I may have missed this, but I didn’t see anything regarding ClickBank. Perhaps ClickBank wouldn’t be considered an affiliate marketing program as such, but rather an affiliate management program. At any rate ClickBank has both an enormous amount of programs to promote and an enormous amount of affiliates. This might seem to be a positive on its face but in fact trying to promote a product through ClickBank feels a lot like a little fish big pond scenario. Tough to stand out in the crowd. I am presently trying to help a site find affiliates for their ClickBank product. Not sure if this is kosher but here’s their link: http://hooponoponohelp.com/hooponopono-help-affiliate-program . And if it’s not kosher then remove the above link and please accept my apologies.

After more than a decade experience with the commercial web, you’d think major marketers would consider the web more than an afterthought. Flynn says this is where you’ll start to build a fan base — and collect subscriber emails. You don’t need to get the whole world to follow you to make this work out financially. Wired cofounder Kevin Kelly wrote an article about 1,000 True Fans, which basically says that if you have 1,000 people paying you $100 a year, that’s a $100,000 a year. “You don’t need to serve everybody,” says Flynn.
When promoting affiliate offers, just make sure you are fully aware of all the terms and conditions attached to your affiliate program. Some programs can be strict about how they allow you to promote their products. For example, some may limit you to banner ads and links only, while others will allow you to use paid advertising, but won't allow email marketing.
